[NEWS]K&P’s Commitment to Sustainability:RE100
2025.08.12
The shift toward a sustainable future is accelerating across industries worldwide.
Today, it is not only what a company produces, but also how it is produced—specifically, the type of energy used in production—that has become a critical measure of corporate value.
At the center of this movement is RE100 (Renewable Energy 100%), a global initiative calling for companies to source 100% of their electricity from renewable energy. Leading corporations such as Apple, Google, and BMW have already set RE100 as a key business goal and are extending the same requirements to their suppliers.
Apple has committed to achieving 100% renewable energy across its supply chain by 2030, and Google by 2029. As a result, Korea’s parts and materials industries are also under increasing pressure to transition quickly.
However, the reality is challenging. Korea’s overall RE100 achievement rate remains at 12%, lagging behind major manufacturing competitors. Renewable energy infrastructure is concentrated in certain regions, and the lack of sufficient institutional and logistical support makes adoption difficult for many companies.
Against this backdrop, K&P has officially joined RE100.
This is not merely a declaration—it marks the beginning of K&P’s full-scale transition toward a sustainable manufacturing system. Building on decades of manufacturing expertise, quality, and service, we will accelerate the development of eco-friendly production processes powered by renewable energy.
Going forward, K&P will strengthen its ESG management practices and advance the transition of energy sources used in production to meet—and exceed—the sustainability standards expected by customers at home and abroad.
RE100 is no longer an option; it is a prerequisite for survival in the future market.
As a manufacturer that combines technological excellence with sustainability, K&P will continue to respond to the demands of the times with responsibility and determination.
