[News]K& Corp. Completes Mandatory Training
2025.07.17
Taking the First Step Toward a Healthy and Respectful Workplace
K& Corp. recently conducted a series of four mandatory workplace training sessions under the theme of “Creating a Healthy and Respectful Workplace.”
The training covered four essential topics: prevention of workplace sexual harassment, prevention of workplace bullying, disability awareness, and personal information protection. It served as an important opportunity to raise awareness among all employees regarding human rights sensitivity and workplace ethics.
The sessions were led by Ms. Kim Joo-sil, an employment counselor from the Gumi Women’s Resources Development Center, who provided clear and practical guidance based on real-life workplace cases. Her engaging delivery encouraged active participation and deepened understanding among employees.
1. Prevention of Workplace Sexual Harassment
The session outlined the types of sexual harassment that may occur in the workplace, including physical, verbal, and visual harassment. Through practical examples, employees were able to clearly understand the boundaries and risks of such behavior.
Guidance was provided on how to respond in the event of an incident, including how to collect evidence, express refusal, and report to external authorities.
The role of bystanders and how to avoid becoming a perpetrator—or how to respond if falsely accused—were also emphasized, reinforcing the importance of prevention.
2. Prevention of Workplace Bullying
Workplace bullying is defined as an act of physical or psychological harm caused by a person in a position of power through non-work-related behavior.
The training helped distinguish workplace bullying from sexual harassment and introduced the three key conditions of bullying:
① abuse of authority,
② actions unrelated to work,
③ causing physical/psychological harm or deterioration of the work environment.
Various real-life examples were presented to ensure employees could clearly identify and avoid such behaviors.
3. Disability Awareness Training
The session also addressed the importance of understanding and respecting differences, aiming to eliminate prejudice against individuals with disabilities and foster a workplace culture of inclusion.
The training emphasized the value of diversity and the need to create a work environment where everyone can grow and succeed together.
4. Personal Information Protection
In response to increasing concerns about data breaches and cyber threats, the training covered the definition of personal information, security guidelines, and key points to be aware of in handling data in the workplace.
Emphasis was placed on building a sense of responsibility and vigilance, recognizing that even minor negligence can lead to significant consequences.
Launch of the Employee Counseling Center & New Internal Guidelines
A special message from President Park Si-yeon was also shared during the training. She introduced the newly launched Employee Counseling Center, established to handle workplace issues promptly and fairly, ensuring that all employees feel safe and supported.
Additionally, the following new internal regulations, effective from July 9, 2025, were announced:
- No pressure to drink alcohol at company gatherings; participation must be based on prior consent
- Mixed-gender gatherings must include at least three participants
- Second rounds of gatherings after official events are strictly prohibited
- No shared taxi rides or vehicle rides between male and female employees after company event
(applies to both personal and company vehicles)
K& Corp. remains committed to creating a workplace where all employees are respected, protected, and empowered.
Through this training, we hope to build a culture where every individual is understood, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
